About the role
You'll be the first dedicated sales hire on a bootstrapped, founder-led team. You'll own the full cycle — from outbound prospecting through close — for cannabis operators (cultivators, processors, retailers, labs, MSOs) buying our compliance platform.
This is a commission-heavy role with real equity. You're betting on yourself, and we're betting on you. The product is real, the market is large, and the competition is mostly a single legacy player charging $280+/month with stagnant features.
What you'll do
- Build pipeline through outbound (LinkedIn, email, conferences, referrals) and inbound demo requests
- Run discovery, walk-throughs, and trial setups end-to-end
- Close deals — Starter ($249/mo), Growth ($199/mo per location), and Enterprise (custom)
- Feed product insights back to engineering — what wins deals, what loses them, what's missing
- Help us figure out which states, license types, and customer profiles to focus on next
What we're looking for
- Demonstrated success selling SaaS into regulated industries (cannabis ideal, but pharmaceutical, financial services, or healthcare also relevant)
- Comfortable with commission-heavy compensation and the autonomy that comes with it
- Strong written and verbal communication — you'll be writing pipeline updates, discovery notes, and customer-feedback memos that the whole team reads
- Existing network in the cannabis industry is a major plus
- US-based, willing to travel for trade shows and high-value customer visits
